We are incredibly proud to announce that Beyond Trauma Academy CIC has been honoured with two prestigious Global Health & Pharma Awards for 2025 — Most Transformative Trauma Recovery Academy and Trauma Recovery Specialist of the Year.
What makes this achievement especially meaningful is that we only launched as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in February 2025.
To be recognised internationally within our first year is both humbling and a powerful reflection of the change we’re already creating.
These awards will help us strengthen our voice, build partnerships, and access the funding needed to support even more women across the UK and beyond.
At Beyond Trauma Academy, our mission is to make trauma recovery accessible, practical, and empowering — moving people from simply surviving to truly thriving.
Our flagship BeyondTrauma™ Programme — developed by our founder Mayameen Meftahi BEM, who was recognised by Her Majesty The Queen for her services to survivors — is designed to help individuals heal without the need to continuously reopen old wounds.
Rather than focusing solely on retelling traumatic experiences, BeyondTrauma™ offers a structured, evidence-informed framework that equips survivors with tools for emotional regulation, confidence, and long-term empowerment.
Being recognised by Global Health & Pharma as both a Trauma Recovery Specialist and the Most Transformative Trauma Recovery Academy is a testament to the programme’s impact — and to our growing network of facilitators who are bringing recovery to communities nationwide.
Beyond Trauma Academy is built on two powerful strands of impact:
BTAN is a vital part of Beyond Trauma Academy’s mission. It ensures that while we support individuals in their recovery, we’re also transforming the systems that surround them — creating a more trauma-informed society where survivors are seen, understood, and empowered.
The Global Health & Pharma Awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the healthcare and wellbeing sectors. Winners are selected based on merit and measurable impact, not size or turnover — making this recognition even more significant for a small but rapidly growing community organisation like ours.
To receive two international awards within our first year shows that real transformation can happen when lived experience, expertise, and empathy come together with purpose.
This recognition marks an exciting new chapter for us. In 2025 and beyond, we’ll be:
We invite professionals, survivors, and allies to join us in shaping a trauma-informed future.
