Training That Creates Lasting Change
Practical, survivor-informed training delivered by experienced trauma specialists.
Helping organisations build safer, more effective responses to trauma, abuse, violence and vulnerability.
BeyondTrauma Academy CIC delivers a range of specialist training programmes focused on trauma, abuse, violence against women and girls, safeguarding, recovery and survivor-informed practice.
Our training is designed to be practical, engaging and informed by both professional expertise and lived experience, providing participants with knowledge, understanding and confidence that can be applied directly within their professional roles and organisations.
To support ongoing learning and implementation, all training courses and workshops include a comprehensive resource pack containing relevant materials, guidance, tools and resources that participants can refer to following the session.
Our standard training sessions are delivered as 3-hour workshops, providing a focused and engaging introduction to the subject matter.
Many of our training programmes can also be adapted and expanded into half-day or full-day sessions, allowing for deeper exploration, practical exercises, case studies, reflective discussions and organisation-specific learning outcomes.
If you require a bespoke programme tailored to your team, service or organisational needs, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Some of our training programmes are CPD accredited, whilst others are delivered as non-accredited awareness or professional development training.
Where a training programme carries CPD accreditation, this will be clearly stated within the course description together with the number of CPD points awarded.
All CPD accreditation is awarded through the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH).
Training is primarily delivered online via live interactive sessions.
Face-to-face delivery may be available upon request and will be discussed on an individual basis depending on location, group size and organisational requirements.
In addition to our advertised courses, we can develop bespoke training programmes tailored to the specific needs of your organisation, team or service.
Whether you require a one-off workshop, staff development programme, conference session or specialist awareness training, we are happy to discuss a solution that meets your objectives.

This specialist workshop equips helpline staff and volunteers with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to support survivors in a trauma-informed way over the telephone and online.
Supporting individuals in distress without visual cues presents unique challenges. This training helps participants understand how trauma may present during helpline conversations, how to respond safely and compassionately, and how to create a sense of safety, trust and connection through voice, language and presence alone.
Alongside supporting callers, the workshop also focuses on the emotional impact of listening to traumatic experiences and the importance of boundaries, self-care and sustainable helping practices.
Developed by trauma specialist and trainer Mayameen Meftahi BEM, this workshop combines trauma-informed principles, survivor-informed insight and practical techniques that can be immediately applied within helpline and listening service environments.
With a unique combination of professional expertise, survivor-informed insight and lived experience, our training helps professionals move beyond awareness and develop the confidence to respond effectively to trauma, abuse and vulnerability. That speaks directly to commissioners and training buyers rather than looking like a charity donation page.
Every training course includes practical resources, tools and guidance to support implementation beyond the training session.
